Dé plaats om te boardsurfen op Curacao is playa Canoa. Dit strand wordt met name bezocht om te surfen, zowel door locals en toeristen. Het is er goed surfen voor alle niveau's. Wave quality: standaard. Wave richting: links en rechts. Bodem: rif. Golflengte: normaal: kort (<50m). Goede dagen: 50-150m. Voor meer surf spot karakteristieken ga naar Wannasurf. |

Dansschool opgericht door de Curaçaoenaar Heinrich Provence. Er wordt les gegeven in salsa, merengue, bachata, ladystyling en salsaerobics. De cursusssen worden gegeven op Landhuis Brakkeput Meimei, SOV Asiento en Top Fit Gym. Privelessen kunnen in overleg op iedere willekeurige locatie gegeven worden, wat jou het beste uitkomt! 2 en 3 september 2011 Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival

Het
volledige programma van Curaçao North Sea Jazz is bekend. De laatste
toegevoegde naam is Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings. Het negenkoppige
collectief uit Brooklyn brengt een mix van soul, funk en gospel en
staan bekend om hun energieke live optredens. Muziek recht vanuit het
hart staat ook op hun laatste album "Learned the Hard Way".
Dit jaar wordt nog maar de tweede editie van het festival gehouden maar het succes van de eerste editie was meteen al aanleiding voor de International Jazz Festivals Organization (IJFO) om hun jaarlijkse bestuursbijeenkomst in Willemstad te houden. Bij het IJFO zijn werelds grootse en gerenommeerde jazzfestivals aangesloten als het Montreux Festival, Umbria Jazz, Monterey Jazz festival, Istanbul Jazz en natuurlijk ook het North Sea Jazz festival. De directeuren en bestuursleden van de top 16 festivals komen het eiland en het Curaçao North Sea Jazz festival bezoeken.

events and races will be in and around the harbor and bay of the
historical city of Willemstad. All boats will actually be sailing and
racing in the historic center of Willemstad and in the open sea in front of Willemstad. All competitive sailing boats will race for the unique NIBanc Cup.
There will be all sorts of activities on unique locations. From competitive sailing races to fishing competitions, a lighting boat parade at night, a UTS Family Pavilion and a Curacao Tourist Board cuisine and heritage event at Brion Plein.
